Your rights of data subjects
You can exercise the following rights at any time using the contact details provided by our data protection officer:
Information about your data stored with sbc and their processing,
- Correction of incorrect personal data,
- Deletion of your data stored with sbc,
- Restriction of data processing if we are not yet allowed to delete your data due to legal obligations, objection against the processing of your data by sbc and data transferability if you have consented to data processing or have concluded a contract with sbc.
If you have given to sbc your consent, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future.
You can at any time complain to the supervisory authority responsible for you. Your responsible supervisory authority depends on the federal state of your residence, your work or the presumed violation.
Purposes of data processing by the responsible body and third parties
sbc process your personal data only for the purposes stated in this data protection declaration. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those stated. sbc will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent to this,
- the processing is necessary to process a contract with you,
- the processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation,
- the processing is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data.
Deletion or blocking of data
sbc adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. sbc therefore only stores your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here or as provided for by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the respective purpose has ceased or these periods have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Like many other websites, sbc also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides sbc with certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the Internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies enables sbc to make navigation easier for you and to display sbc's web pages correctly.
Under no circumstances will the data collected by sbc be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, sbc uses state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.
On the basis of your explicit consent, sbc might regularly send you sbc's newsletter or comparable information by e-mail to your specified e-mail address.
Your e-mail address is sufficient for receiving the newsletter. When you register to receive sbc's newsletter, the data you provide will be used exclusively for this purpose. Subscribers may also be informed by e-mail of circumstances relevant to the service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).
For an effective registration sbc needs a valid e-mail address. sbc use the "double opt-in" procedure in order to verify that a registration is actually carried out by the owner of an e-mail address. To this end, sbc logs the order of the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the reply requested herewith. Further data will not be collected. The data will be used exclusively for the newsletter dispatch and will not be passed on to third parties.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and its use for newsletter dispatch at any time. In every newsletter you will find a corresponding link. You can also unsubscribe directly from this website at any time or inform sbc of your wish via the contact details given at the end of this data protection notice.
If you contact sbc with any questions by e-mail or contact form, give sbc your voluntary consent for the purpose of contacting. For this purpose, it is necessary to provide a valid e-mail address. This is used to assign the request and then answer it. The entry of further data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. Personal data will be deleted automatically after your request has been processed.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (following: Google). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these web pages, your IP address will be shortened by Google in advance within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to and truncated by Google on servers in the United States. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
The purposes of data processing are to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on activities on the website. On the basis of the use of the website and the Internet, further associated services are then to be provided. The processing is based on the legitimate interest of the website operator.
In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link. This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This will prevent Google Analytics from collecting cookies for this website and for this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)
In order to present sbc's content correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, sbc use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser's cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.
Calling script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible - but currently also unclear whether and for what purposes - for the operators of such libraries to collect data.
Use of Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps API to visually display geographic information. When Google Maps is used, Google also collects, processes and uses data relating to the use of map functions by visitors. For more information about data processing by Google, please refer to the Google Privacy Notice. There you can also change your personal data protection settings in the data protection centre.
Detailed instructions on how to manage your own data in connection with Google products can be found here.
Embedded YouTube videos
On some of sbc websites sbc embed Youtube videos. Operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to Youtube servers is established. This will tell Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged in to your Youtube account, Youtube can personally assign your surfing behavior to you. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account beforehand.
If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to reckon with such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser.
Further information on data protection at "Youtube" can be found in the provider's data protection declaration at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
1. description and scope of data processing
sbc might send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing advertising information (hereinafter referred to as "newsletters") only with the consent of the recipient or a legal permission. If the contents of the newsletter are specifically described within the scope of registration, they are decisive for the consent of the user. sbc's newsletters contain information about news and events of Stephan Beck - sb competence. This may also include references to blog posts, lectures or workshops, sbc services or online appearances.
Use of the "MailChimp" shipping service
When registering for the newsletter, the data from the input mask will be transmitted to us. This is your e-mail address, your first name, your last name and the name of the company or organisation to which you belong.
In addition, the following data is collected during registration:
(1) IP address of the calling computer
(2) Date and time of registration
The registration to our newsletter takes place in a so-called Double-Opt-In procedure. This means that you will receive an e-mail after your registration in which you will be asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register with external e-mail addresses. The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time, as well as the IP address. Likewise the changes of your data stored with MailChimp are logged.
In connection with the data processing for the dispatch of newsletters, the data is not passed on to third parties. The data are used exclusively for the dispatch of the newsletter.
2. legal basis for the data processing
In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO), which came into force on 25 May 2018, we would like to inform you that your consent to the sending of e-mail addresses is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a, 7 DSGVO and § 7 Para. 2 No. 3 or Para. 3 UWG. The use of the MailChimp shipping service, the performance of statistical surveys and analyses as well as the logging of the registration procedure are carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our interest is directed towards the use of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system which serves our business interests as well as the expectations of the users.
3. purpose of data processing
The collection of the user's e-mail address serves to deliver the newsletter.
The collection of other personal data as part of the registration process serves to prevent misuse of the services or the e-mail address used.
Statistical survey and analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called "web-beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are first collected. This information is used to technically improve the services on the basis of the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour on the basis of their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or access times. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our nor MailChimp's aim to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our contents to them or to send different contents according to the interests of our users.
Online access and data management
4. duration of storage
The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. The user's e-mail address will therefore be stored as long as the newsletter subscription is active.
The newsletter is sent on the basis of the user's registration on the website.
The other personal data collected during the registration process are usually deleted after a period of seven days.
5. possibility of opposition and removal
You can cancel the receipt of sbc newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. At the same time, your consent to its dispatch via MailChimp and the statistical analyses will expire. A separate revocation of the dispatch via MailChimp or the statistical analysis is unfortunately not possible. You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.
Changes to sbc data protection regulations
sbc reserves the right to adapt this data protection declaration so that it always corresponds to the current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. Your renewed visit will then be subject to the new data protection declaration.
